“Maria’s little place was a gem. A real treasure hidden away, but in a great way. Elevated and amazingly comfortable. The bed was THE best. Such a great style but not over the top. The BBQ was amazing; everything went well and instructions/guide notes very accurate and easy to follow. We traveled in winter and had a wonderful relaxed time. The leather couch- to die for! Staying at Maria and Don’s picturesque place in Lorne was as great as I hoped it would be. In the lead up to my trip they provided all the information and guidance I needed to get there easily and enjoy my stay. To welcome me, there was a bounty of freshly picked veggies from the garden and the heater already on. Both of which made for an especially warm arrival. Attention to detail at the cabin is not spared. With beautiful amenities, linens and a plentiful kitchen including pantry. Maria and Don were both very contactable with any queries during my stay and I enjoyed the leisurely 11am check out time. A thoroughly relaxing experience, and one I hope to return to when the next possible opportunity arises! - Sharni

This was an absolutely delightful place to stay. It is beautifully presented, well stocked and excellently located. You could easily spend a week sitting on the deck looking out over the garden to the ocean. There is so much to do in the area and this is not only a beautiful place to stay, but it is in such a wonderful location to visit the surrounding destinations. “We had a great time staying at the cabin. The cabin is stylish with picturesque views. Feels secluded whilst being only 5 minutes drive from the beach, restaurants and shops. Check in was easy and our host was very responsive when we stupidly locked ourselves out. ‍♂️ Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a restful holiday. - Daniel

A beautiful place to escape to, away from the tourist trail. Expansive views across immaculate gardens, through gum trees to the ocean. Watching sunrise from the bedroom was an absolute highlight, as was making use of the fabulously well-equipped kitchen. - Rebecca

Loved hanging around the cabin when the weather was a bit bad, and very close to both the beach and the hinterland to explore when the sun is out. “After a hectic time at home, hubby and I were looking for somewhere beautiful to hide for a few days. I found Maria and Don’s place and thought it looked lovely, so we booked. Maria’s communication during the booking process was timely, friendly and efficient. She was actually a delight to deal with. Well, we arrived and my jaw hit the ground! The Cabin is just as perfect as the setting. It is so beautiful inside and out. The garden and view are just breathtaking. If peace and tranquility are what you seek, this is the spot for you. The sky is enormous and the laughing kookaburras started each day off perfectly. Once inside the cabin, I felt as though I’d stepped into the pages of a magazine - an interior addicts dream. Everything is just stunning, but not too precious that you can’t relax. It is a true chef’s haven, we cooked in a lot! Too nice to leave and eat out. The appliances, crockery, cutlery, soft furnishings are all of the highest quality. And that bed! Soooo, soooo comfortable. I have already been telling family and friends how superb the cabin is but I probably shouldn’t. It may be booked out next time I want to stay, once word gets out! Three nights was lovely, but next time, I will book for longer. I can’t recommend the Cabin enough. If you’re lucky enough to stay, you won’t be disappointed. - Natalie”

“This beautiful property with views of the ocean was the perfect getaway for my partner and I. The Cabin is tastefully decorated and very functional. We enjoyed some delicious fresh produce from the organic veggie garden and cooked up a storm in the very functional kitchen! Wonderful boutique cabin obviously created with love and great attention to detail! A few kms up out of Lorne provides fantastic access to town and the Great Ocean Road while feeling secluded surrounded by national park. Loved wondering through the gardens in the afternoons and the sunrise from the cabin was spectacular! Extra touches such as local bread, milk and eggs were lovely.
